UF Health Psychiatric Hospital

Caring for patients with behavioral health problems is a challenge the UF Health Psychiatric Hospital team embraces every day. We’re meeting the needs of our community with patient and family-centered care delivered by skilled specialty nurses who are vital part of the interdisciplinary treatment effort.

UF Health Psychiatric Hospital is a private, Baker Act Receiving Hospital and is proud to serve as north central Florida’s premier resource for the following treatments and programs:

  • Quality psychiatric and substance abuse treatment
  • Inpatient, partial hospital and outpatient programs
  • All age groups, pediatric through geriatric
  • Community education initiatives
  • Clinical research and professional education

Four distinct units, distinguished as North, East, South and West, provide for an organizational model that aids in the effective delivery of behavioral health care. Onsite pharmacy and diagnostic services within our 81-bed facility allows us to provide total patient care.

UF Health Psychiatric Hospital caregivers collaborate across disciplines to assess, treat and evaluate patient care and progress. By creating a true team environment, we are able to achieve the common goal of restoring our patients to the best of life.
